The six-week workshop, which focuses on science fiction, fantasy, and horror, will take place June 23 – August 3, 2013 in San Diego CA. The two-week workshop, which will deal with both short fiction and novels, will take place July 28 – August 12, 2013 in Taos Ski Valley NM. Geoffrey Landis, award winning author and NASA scientist, will be teaching at the Launchpad astronomy workshop in July 2012. Landis’s novel Mars Crossing won the 2001 Locus Award for Best First Novel, and his short fiction has received Nebula and Hugo awards.

Applications for Launchpad will open on March 1, 2012. The workshop will last one week, and take place in Laramie, Wyoming.

Charion West has announced workshop instructors for 2012. They are: Mary Rosenblum, Hiromi Goto, George R.R. Martin, Connie Willis, Kelly Link & Gavin Grant, and Chuck Palahniuk (2012 Susan C. Petrey Fellow). The 2012 workshop will take place June 17 through July 27. Applications will open in December 2011 and are due March 1, 2012.
