2023 Krefelder Preis and Phantastikpreis der Stadt Wetzlar

The winner of the 2023 Krefelder Preis for Fantastic Literature has been announced: Das Schiff der verlorenen Kinder, Frauke Berger & Boris Koch (Splitter).

Other finalists were Die Herrin der Regenmacher, Timo Leibig (Penhaligon) and Fürimmerhaus, Kai Meyer (Sauerländer)

The prize is awarded by the Burg Linn Museum and the city of Krefeld, Germany. The winner receives €10,000 and the Pentagondodekaeder, a trophy in the shape of a dodecahedron. For more information, see the announcement.

The winner of the €4,000 Phantastikpreis der Stadt Wetzlar has also been announced: Unterten, Maja Ilisch (Dressler Verlag).

Other finalists were Die Königin der Frösche, Akiz (hanserblau) and Auf See, Theresia Enzensberger (Hanser).

The prize will be presented by Oberbürgermeister Manfred Wagner on September 8, 2023 at the Wetzlar Fantasy Library in Wetzlar, Germany. For more information, see the announcement.
