2023 Yoto Carnegie Medals Shortlists

The shortlists for the Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing and Yoto Carnegie Medal for Illustration have been announced. Titles and authors of genre interest follow.

  • The Comet, written and illustrated by Joe Todd-Stanton (Flying Eye)

The awards are presented by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP). The winners will be announced June 21, 2023 in a ceremony at the Barbican in London, UK. Winners receive £500 worth of books to donate to local libraries, a golden medal, and a £5,000 Colin Mears Award cash prize.
