2024 Edgar Awards Winners

Locus Magazine, Science Fiction FantasyThe 78th Annual Edgar Awards were presented May 1, 2024, at the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square. The Awards are given by the Mystery Writers of America (MWA), “honoring the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction and television.” Winners of genre interest follow.

Flags on the Bayou by James Lee Burke (Grove Atlantic – Atlantic Monthly Press) won in the Best Novel category, Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto (Penguin Random House – Berkley) won in the Best Paperback Orginal category, and The Ghosts of Rancho Espanto by Adrianna Cuevas (Farrar, Straus and Giroux BFYR) won in the Best Juveline category.

As previously announced, Katherine Hall Page and R.L. Stine were named MWA Grand Masters.
