2024 Andrew Carnegie Medals Longlist

The American Library Association (ALA) has announced the longlist for the 2023 Andrew Carnegie Medals for Excellence for “the best fiction and nonfiction books for adult readers published in the U.S. in the previous year” with 21 fiction titles and 24 non-fiction.

The fiction longlist includes the following titles and authors of genre interest:

The six-title shortlist will be announced on November 14, 2023, and the two medal winners on January 20, 2024. Winners will be honored during the 2024 ALA Annual Conference in June 2024 in San Diego, CA. Winners receive $5,000 and a medal.
