Paige Cowan-Hall Wins 2023 Discoveries Prize

The Women’s Prize Trust has announced the winners for the 2023 Discoveries Prize. Paige Cowan-Hall has won the prize for her historical fiction novel, Marooned. As the winner, she receives £5,000, an offer of representation by Curtis Brown Literary Agency, and a place on Curtis Brown Creative’s six-week online course. She will also join the writers longlisted for Discoveries 2023 in attending the two-week Discoveries Writing Development course in July.

In addition, Louisa Ashton has been named the Discoveries Scholar for her in-progress post-apocalyptic novel, Build Her With Green. She receives a scholarship to continue work on Build Her With Green in a Curtis Brown Creative three-month Writing Your Novel course.
