Chilean SF Society Founded

The Asociación de Literatura de Ciencia Ficción y Fantástica – Chile (ALCiff), or Chilean Science Fiction Literary Society and Fantastica, has been founded by “a noisy bunch of Chilean fans,” and has about 40 members so far. They accept members from other countries. Their projects include a Spanish-spoken YouTube channel, “Los Hombres en el Castillo” [“The Men in the High Castle”], a Facebook fan page, and blog “El Continuo Cronn” [“The Cronn Continuum”]. They hope to send a delegation to the 2021 Worldcon, to publish a bilingual anthology of stories by Chilean authors, and to run a SF workshop. “We hope to keep developing interesting projects in the same vein. We encourage everyone to visit our projects and join us.” For more: <alciff.blogspot.com>.

As a founding member of ALCiFF, thank you Locus Magazine for this announcement. We are officially alive for three months, but working on the project for almost two years. And I must say, that we will be at the 79th Worldcon. Chileans will invade DC… sure that not a single SF story predicted that. 😉
