New York Public Library Best Books of 2022

The New York Public Library has announced its lists of the best books of 2022 in various categories, including 75 Best Books for Adults, 50 Best Books for Teens, and 135 Best Books for Kids. There are also lists of the top 10 for each category.

The Adult category includes genre titles, such as The Change by Kirsten Miller (Morrow) and Goliath by Tochi Onyebuchi (Tordotcom), with T. Kingfisher’s Nettle & Bone (Tor) and Neon Yang’s The Genesis of Misery (Tor) in the top 10. The Teen category features many titles of genre interest, such as The Luminaries by Susan Dennard (Tor Teen), A Girl’s Guide to Love and Magic by Debbie Giraud (Scholastic), The Lost Dreamer by Lizz Huerta (FSG Books for Young Readers), and Burn Down, Rise Up by Vincent Tirado (Sourcebooks Fire), with Tiffany D. Jackson’s The Weight of Blood (Katherine Tegen), F.T. Lukens’s So This Is Ever After (Margaret K. McElderry), and Andrew Joseph White’s Hell Followed With Us (Peachtree) among the top 10.
