RSL Ondaatje Prize 2022 Longlist
The Whistling by Rebecca Netley (Michael Joseph), This One Sky Day by Leone Ross (Faber & Faber), and The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak (Bloomsbury) are on the longlist for the £10,000 Royal Society of Literature (RSL) Ondaatje Prize
The award is given “to an outstanding work of fiction, non-fiction or poetry that best evokes the spirit of a place.” The judges for 2022 are Patrice Lawrence, Sandeep Parmar (Chair), and Philippe Sands.
The shortlist will be announced April 20, 2022, and the winner on May 4. For more information, including the complete longlist, see the Royal Society of Literature website.
