Alameddine Wins 2022 PEN/Faulkner Award

The Wrong End of the Telescope by Rabih Alameddine (Grove Atlantic) has won the 2022 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. Alameddine’s genre work includes The Angel of History (2016).

This year’s judges are Eugenia Kim, Rebecca Makkai, and Rion Amilcar Scott. Louis Bayard, the PEN/Faulkner Awards Committee Chair said, “We look forward to celebrating Rabih Allameddine’s exquisite novel, as well as the enduring work of his fellow finalists.”

Alameddine will receive $15,000, and will be honored at the annual PEN/Faulkner Award Celebration on May 2, 2022.
