2022 Women’s Prize Longlist
The 16-title longlist has been announced for the 2022 Women’s Prize for Fiction. Nominees of genre interest include:
- The Bread the Devil Knead, Lisa Allen-Agostini (Myriad)
- Salt Lick, Lulu Allison (Unbound)
- The Sentence, Louise Erdrich (Harper)
- Build Your House Around My Body, Violet Kupersmith (Random House)
- The Book of Form & Emptiness, Ruth Ozeki (Viking)
- This One Sky Day, Leone Ross (Faber & Faber)
- Creatures of Passage, Morowa Yejidé (Akashic)
The prize celebrates “excellence, originality and accessibility in writing by women throughout the world.”
The shortlist will be announced on April 27, 2022 and the winner on June 15, 2022. The winner will receive £30,000 and a bronze “Bessie” trophy. The 2022 judges are Lorraine Candy, Dorothy Koomson, Anita Sethi, Mary Ann Sieghart (chair), and Pandora Sykes.
