2022 Joyce Carol Oates Prize Finalists
The 2022 Joyce Carol Oates Prize has announced its list of five finalists. The award honors “mid-career authors in fiction,” and the winner receives a $50,000 prize, given by the New Literary Project. Authors of genre interest, along with their most recent titles, include:
- The Trees, Percival Everett (Graywolf)
- Matrix, Lauren Groff (Riverhead)
- Hell of a Book, Jason Mott (Dutton)
“Prize winners receive a $50,000 award to encourage and support their current and future work. The winner of the 2022 Prize also will be in residence at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Bay Area in October 2022.” The winner is expected to be named in April 2022.
