2022 International Prize for Arabic Fiction Longlist

The International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF) has announced its 2022 longlist. The prize aims to “reward excellence in contemporary Arabic creative writing and to encourage the readership of high quality Arabic literature internationally through the translation and publication of winning and shortlisted novels in other major languages.”

The longlist includes 16 titles, and includes a title of genre interest, The White Minaret by Yaa’rab Al-Eissa. The winner will be announced in Abu Dhabi in the spring. Each shortlisted author receives $10,000, and the winning author will receive an additional $50,000.
