The Artist Relief initiative, created in April 2020 to support artists “facing dire financial emergencies due to COVID-19,” has announced that it will extend its grant distribution through December 2020. The initiative distributes unrestricted $5,000 grants and has so far given over $13.5 million to more than 2,700 individual artists. It has raised nearly $20 million since its inception, including $1 million from individual donations. Grants are distributed each Friday, and applications are open in cycles.
For more information, including how to apply, see the Artist Relief website.
