Poisoned Pen Launches New Line
Poisoned Pen Press (the mystery imprint at Sourcebooks) will launch a new line, the Haunted Library of Horror Classics, edited by Eric J. Guignard and Leslie S. Klinger and conceived by Lisa Morton. The first title will be a new trade paperback edition of The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux (1911), out in January 2020. Each book will include a new introduction by horror authors including Ramsey Campbell, Joe Lansdale, and Chelsea Quinn Yarbro; notes and annotations; discussion questions for students; and suggestions for further reading. Other titles planned include Vathek by William Beckford (1786), The King In Yellow by Robert W. Chambers (1895), The Parasite by Arthur Conan Doyle (1895), The Beetle by Richard Marsh (1897), and The House on the Borderland by William Hope Hodgson (1908).
