Poisoned Pen Launches New Line

Poisoned Pen Press (the mystery imprint at Source­books) will launch a new line, the Haunted Library of Horror Classics, edited by Eric J. Guignard and Leslie S. Klinger and conceived by Lisa Morton. The first title will be a new trade paperback edition of The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux (1911), out in January 2020. Each book will in­clude a new introduction by horror authors includ­ing Ramsey Campbell, Joe Lansdale, and Chelsea Quinn Yarbro; notes and annotations; discussion questions for students; and suggestions for further reading. Other titles planned include Vathek by William Beckford (1786), The King In Yellow by Robert W. Chambers (1895), The Parasite by Ar­thur Conan Doyle (1895), The Beetle by Richard Marsh (1897), and The House on the Borderland by William Hope Hodgson (1908).
