2019 Women’s Prize Longlist
There are several titles of genre interest on the 2019 Women’s Prize for Fiction longlist:
- The Pisces, Melissa Broder (Hogarth)
- Freshwater, Akwaeke Emezi (Grove)
- Circe, Madeline Miller (Little, Brown)
- Ghost Wall, Sarah Moss (FSG)
The Women’s Prize for Fiction celebrates “excellence, originality and accessibility in writing by women throughout the world.” The shortlist will be announced on April 29, 2019 and the winner on June 5. The winner will receive £30,000 and a bronze “Bessie” trophy. The 2019 judges are Arifa Akbar, Dolly Alderton, Leyla Hussein, Kate Williams (chair), and Sarah Wood.
