Bishop Inducted into Georgia Writers Hall of Fame
Michael Bishop was inducted into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame during a November 5, 2018 ceremony at the University of Georgia Richard B. Russell Special Collections Library in Athens GA. The Hall of Fame “was established in 2000 as part of the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library to honor Georgia writers and to introduce the public to the library’s rich collections for research into Georgia literature and cultural history.” Bishop was cited for his “diverse galaxy of stories in genres as different as fantasy and historical fiction, contemporary satire and Southern gothic.”
