2019 Commonwealth Short Story Prize Open
The 2019 Commonwealth Short Story Prize “for the best piece of unpublished short fiction (2,000–5,000 words)” by authors from Commonwealth countries in Africa, Asia, Canada and Europe, the Caribbean, and the Pacific is open to submissions until November 1, 2018. For rules, including a list of eligible countries, see the official website.
Regional winners are awarded £2,500 and the overall winner receives £5,000. English language entries are eligible, as are translated entries, and stories written in the original Bengali, Chinese, Kiswahili, Malay, Portuguese, Samoan and Tamil.
