2018 Encore Award Shortlist
The shortlist for the 2018 Encore Award, given by the Royal Society of Literature to the best second novel of the year, includes two titles of genre interest.
- Devil’s Day, Andrew Michael Hurley (John Murray)
- The Bedlam Stacks, Natasha Pulley (Bloomsbury Circus)
The judges for 2018 are Alex Clark (chair), Julia Copus, and Ted Hodgkinson. The winner of the £10,000 award will be announced May 9, 2018.
