Brent Weeks’s The Blood Mirror (book four in the Lightbringer series) remained number one on the hardcover list with only a modest lead over second place finisher At the Sign of Triumph by David Weber (book nine in the Safehold series). The new runner-up was The Shadow of What Was Lost by James Islington (Orbit US). There were 56 nominated titles, down from 57 last month.
American Gods: The Tenth Anniversary Edition by Neil Gaiman squeaked by Patrick Rothfuss’s The Name of the Wind to capture the top spot on the paperback list. There were no new runners-up. There were 63 nominated titles, up from 60 last month.
Benefiting from a strong tie-in movie, Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang captured the top spot on the trade paperback list, followed by The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu. The new runner-up was Shadowed Souls, edited by Jim Butcher & Kerrie L. Hughes (Roc). There were 76 nominated titles, up from 69 last month.
Forgotten Realms: Homecoming: Hero by R.A. Salvatore captured the top of the media-related and gaming-related list with E.K. Johnston’s Star Wars: Ahsoka in second. The new runner-up was Star Trek: Prey: The Hall of Heroes by John Jackson Miller. 30 titles were nominated, down from 31 last month.
