2016 Edge Hill Short Story Prize Shortlist
The shortlist for the 2016 Edge Hill Short Story Prize has been announced. Nominees of genre interest include:
- Three Moments of an Explosion, China Miéville (Del Rey)
- Don’t Try This at Home, Angela Readman (And Other Stories)
- Your Father Sends His Love, Stuart Evers (Norton)
The prize is awarded annually “for excellence in a published single author short story collection.” Authors born or residing in the British Isles are eligible for the award. This year’s judges include Kirsty Gunn, Cathy Galvin, and Billy Cowan.
The winner will be announced on July 5 and will receive a £10,000 award. A £1,000 Readers’ Prize judged by BA Creative Writing students and a £500 prize for a rising talent in Edge Hill University’s own MA Creative Writing program will also be awarded.
