2020 and 2021 Writers & Illustrators of the Future Awards

Locus Magazine, Science Fiction FantasyThe Writers & Illustrators of the Future Contest announced the winners of both the 36th and 37th awards this year, after last year’s pandemic delay.

The 36th Writers of the Future Golden Pen Award went to C. Winspear for story “The Trade”. The 36th Illustrators of the Future Golden Brush Award went to Anh Le for the illustration of “Stolen Sky”.

The 37th Writers of the Future Golden Pen Award went to Barbara Lund for story “Sixers”. The 37th Illustrators of the Future Golden Brush Award went to Dan Watson for the illustrations of “How to Steal the Plot Armor”.

Winners and finalists were honored in a ceremony held October 22, 2021 at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood CA. All winners received trophies, and Golden Award winners received $5,000 each. All the winning stories and artwork are published in L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 37.
