Hugo Nominations Are Open

Nominations are now open for the Hugo Awards, the Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book, and the Astounding Award for Best New Writer, to be presented at Chengdu Worldcon 2023, the 81st World Science Fiction Convention, to be held October 18-22, 2023 in Chengdu, China. The convention says,

Everyone with memberships to either Chicon 8 or the 2023 Chengdu Worldcon that was purchased before February 1, 2023 is eligible to nominate up to five items in each of the 17 Hugo and 2 other award categories. People who have purchased admissions, without WSFS rights, are not eligible to nominate in this vote.

The nomination page will ask the nominator to provide their email address and they will be sent an email with their verification code and membership number, which must both then be entered to log in for nomination. Anyone having issues logging in should email hugoteam@chengduworldcon.com for assistance.

Nominations for the awards will remain open until 11:59 p.m. Hawaiian time on April 30, 2023.

Eligible voters may log in and nominate at the Chengdu site.
