Lev Grossman’s The Magician’s Land (Viking) debuts on three lists, ranking #1 on the New York Times fiction hardcover list. Terry Goodkind’s Severed Souls (Tor) also debuts on three of the lists compiled here, ranking a notch or three below Grossman in every case.
