The only noteworthy rankings this week are two ongoing success stories: Terry Pratchett's Thief of Time, which has moved up one to #6 on both UK lists, and J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books, two of which continue to rank in the top 10 on the Wall Street Journal list week after week, a year and two years after publication. The Raymond E. Feist and William Forstchen novel, Honoured Enemy (Voyager), that debuted on both UK lists last week, lasted only one week. Amazon's lists are stale this week.

   = same as last week
   + or - with number: difference since last week

   x no longer on list (number of x's: weeks off list)

Columns show ranks on lists from, respectively, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, USA Today, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, London Times, Publishers Weekly, BookSense, Amazon.com (fiction lists), and Amazon UK (fiction lists). All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats.

Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.
