Except for Terry Pratchett's Thief of Time in the UK, and J.K. Rowling's paperbacks, no SFFH books have been prominent among general bestsellers for several weeks now. Even hardcovers by Stephen King and Rowling still appear on only a few lists. New this week: a reissue paperback edition of Dean Koontz's Whispers appears on three lists. Though not exactly SFF or H, "Lemony Snicket"'s morbid A Series of Unfortunate Events volumes occupy no less than 5 spots on the NYT children's chapter list this week. Snicket, aka Daniel Handler, is on the cover of the June 18 Publishers Weekly, and he's on Entertainment Weekly's "It" List for June 29/July 6.
