Stephen King's Dreamcatcher dominates all the lists -- except, oddly, Amazon's, which has been updated since last week yet which still seems out-of-date, with rankings by Feist, Koontz, and Card (at #22), long after their books have dropped off most other lists -- and King nowhere to be seen in the top 25. New this week: Anne McCaffrey's The Skies of Pern, US edition (Del Rey), debuts strongly on six lists, as high as #3 at WSJ. John Vornholt's Star Trek TNG novel The Genesis Wave: Book Two (Pocket) is a runner-up at #30 on the NYT list; and in paperbacks, "Greg Keyes"'s Star Wars novel New Jedi Order: Edge of Victory 1: Conquest (Del Rey) debuts on three lists. In the UK, David Gemmell's Ravenheart appears in the top 10, at #9, on the Times of London list. PW's children's lists are updated this week, for April. Though still lumping all the Harry Potter books together as the #1 entry in the "Series and Tie-Ins" sub-list, the new Quidditch and Fantastic Beasts titles are given separate entries (at #1 and #2) in the fiction bestsellers sub-category.
