The Shimmer Program’s Two-way Exchange Fund

Storycom is funding The Shimmer Program’s Two-way Exchange Fund, intended “to encourage cultural exchange between Chinese science fiction fans and science fiction fans all over the world.” Similar to their ongoing Program for Chinese fans, the Two-way Exchange Fund

will provide 15,000 RMB per person (this will approximately cover economic class plane tickets and hotels; the fund recipient will be responsible for all costs exceeding this budget). For the first session of our fund, we will select 2 recipients at most. Moreover, we will help you plan the trip to up to 4 cities in China, Shanghai-Beijing-Chengdu-Shenzhen, and introduce you to the science fiction events there. You will be able to participate closely in the local events and meet other science fiction fans.

Knowledge of Chinese is not a requirement. Applications are open until April 1, 2018. For more information, including application instructions, see the Shimmer Program announcement.
