Lam, L.R.: Emberclaw (Astra House/DAW 978-0756418441, $29, 400pp, formats: hardcover, ebook, 03/04/2025)

Epic fantasy/queer romance novel, the second in the Dragon Scales duology. Hero Arcady poses as a student at the magic University of Vatra, trying to clear their name; the dragon, Everen, is imprisoned and dreams of Arcady. Author has also written as Laura Lam. SF thriller in the Joe Ledger and Rogue Team International series. A group has infiltrated secret disease-research sites, and now its members are acting as human “disease bombs”, infecting themselves and spreading disease in public places. Joe, grieving, has to get back into action.
