Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2025 Shortlist Announced
Shortlisted titles for the 2025 Waterstones Children’s Book Prize have been announced in the Illustrated Books, Younger Readers’, and Older Readers’ categories. Titles and authors of genre interest include:
Illustrated Books
- Mountain and Cloud, Jana Curll (Ladybird)
- Dim Sum Palace, X. Fang (Tundra)
- The Cafe at the Edge of the Woods, Mikey Please (Harper Collins)
Younger Readers’
- Secrets of the Snakestone, Piu DasGupta (Nosy Crow)
- Tidemagic, Clare Harlow (Penguin Randomhouse)
- Rune, Carlos Sánchez (Flying Eye)
Older Readers’
- For She is Wrath, Emily Varga (Pan Macmillan)
Category winners each receive £2,000 and the overall Waterstones Children’s Book of the Year title winner will receive an additional £3,000. Winners will be announced on March 27, 2025.
