We are launching a brand new reading series, The Storytellers, kicking off 2025 with author Ai Jiang reading from I AM AI!

We are pleased to announce the first in our new series The Storytellers, a collection of author readings we’ve gathered over time, mostly from Locus Awards finalists and others. Many of the recordings come from our archive of Zoom recordings from the past few years.

So many talented authors have done readings of their novellas, short stories, and chapters from their longer works for Locus. We will be releasing at least two of these recordings each month over the course of 2025, and possibly beyond! Check out our YouTube channel for more readings!

Our very first reading is by Ai Jiang, author of I AM AI . Originally published by Shortwave Media in 2023, I AM AI won the Aurora Award for Best Novelette/Novella finalist and was nominated for the Hugo, Nebula, and Locus Novelette awards.

The talented Ai Jiang is a Chinese-Canadian writer, winner of the Bram Stoker®, Nebula and Ignyte Awards, and Hugo, Astounding, Locus, and BSFA Award finalist, and an immigrant from Shanghu, Changle, Fujian currently residing in Toronto, Ontario. Her work can be found in F&SF, The Dark, Uncanny, The Masters Review, among others. She is the recipient of Odyssey Workshop’s 2022 Fresh Voices Scholarship and the author of Linghun. The first book of her novella duology, A Palace Near the Wind, is forthcoming 2025 with Titan Books. Find her on most social media platforms and for more information go to https://aijiang.ca
