House of Gamut has rebranded and relaunched Gamut Publishing as Ruadán Books, including “All anthologies and novel contracts” previously signed with Gamut. Scheduled titles include anthology
120 Murders edited by Nick Mamatas. Ruadán is open to submissions of short stories, novellas, and novels, as well as non-fiction for their column “From the Writers Desk”.
Gamut also announced the closure of Gamut Academy and Gamut Magazine, with their final scheduled issue as the December 2024 issue. The magazine’s site will be available through December 31, 2024, and “any outstanding monies paid for subscriptions from July onward will also be refunded at the end of December 2024.”
The Facebook announcement cited “a very slow start and a lack-luster revenue stream, along with survey results and advice from business partners” as reasons for the changes. They added, “We wish we could keep House of Gamut going for you. We love the same sort of art and storytelling that you do and we were delighted in bringing it to you each month. Thank you for having faith in us.”

announcement as well as the Ruadán Books
