BayCon 2024
BayCon 2024 was held July 4-7, 2024 in person at the Santa Clara Marriott in Santa Clara CA. Elizabeth Leggett and Ryka Aoki were guests of honor, Raquel Santiago (AKA Lady Phoenix) was community guest, and Bonnie Gordon was musical guest and Toastmaster. The theme was “Pure Imagination.”
Programming included an array of panels, the ‘‘Midnight Madness’’ cult classic film series, karaoke, live music, a charity blood drive, book launch parties, author readings, an arcade with classic games, a Q&A with Peter S. Beagle followed by a screening of The Last Unicorn, a battleblot arena, a clothing swap, and more.
BayCon 2025, which is also Westercon 77, ‘‘A Convenient Parallel Dimension.’’ is planned for July 4–7, 2025 at the Santa Clara Marriott in Santa Clara CA. The guests are J.K. Woodward, Sasha Graham, M.A. Carrick, Catherine Mary Stewart, and Stacy Meyn & Tracy Newby. More info is available on the site.
