2024 Kirkus Prize Finalists
Kirkus has announced finalists for their 2024 prizes. Authors and titles of genre interest follow.
Fiction
- The Mighty Red, Louise Erdrich (Harper)
- James, Percival Everett (Doubleday)
- Prophet Song, Paul Lynch (Atlantic)
- Playground, Richard Powers (Norton)
Young Adult
- Bright Red Fruit, Safia Elhillo (Make Me A World)
Other categories include Nonfiction, Picture Book, and Middle-Grade. “Each award comes with a $50,000 cash prize. Books become eligible for the prizes by receiving a starred review from Kirkus, a distinction achieved by only about 10% of the books reviewed in the magazine.”
