2024 Indiana Authors Award Shortlist

The Indiana Author Awards have announced the 2024 shortlist. The awards “celebrate the best books by Indiana authors written in eight different categories and published during the previous two years.” Works of genre interest follow.

Fiction

• The Rabbit Hutch, Tess Gunty (Knopf)

Genre

• Sweep of Stars, Maurice Broaddus (Tor)
• The Plastic Priest, Nicole Cushing (Cemetery Dance)
• Modus Perfectus, Elisabeth Hegmann (Paper Angel)
• A Wild Region: Tales and Stories from the Heartland, Robin Lee Lovelace (Liminal)

Winners and shortlisted authors are chosen by a panel of judges, including “former winners, writers, educators, scholars, local bookstore owners and librarians. For more information, including the complete shortlist, see the award website.
