The Arthur C. Clarke Foundation has announced the winners for the 2023 Arthur C. Clarke Awards (not to be confused with the literary award by the same name). Nnedi Okorafor has been awarded the Imagination in Service to Society Award for her “unforgettable speculative fiction and Africanfuturism for youth and adults.”

The awards were presented at the annual Unleash Imagination event hosted by the foundation on November 8, 2023. Other awards included the Innovator Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.
