2023 Seiun Awards Winners

Sci-con2023, the 61st Japan Science Fiction Convention, has announced the winners of the 2023 Seiun Awards (the Japanese equivalent of the Hugo Awards), honoring the best original and translated works published last year in Japan.

Best Translated Novel

  • WINNER: Foundation series, Isaac Asimov, translated by Yasuko Kaji (TOKYO SOGENSHA)
  • The Redemption of Time, Baoshu, translated by Nozomi Oomori, Wan Chai & Sakura Mitsuyoshi (Hayakawa Shobo)

There were also winners in Media, Comic, Artist, and Non-Fiction categories. The awards were presented August 5, 2023 at the 61st Japan SF Convention in Saitama, Japan.
