2023 Caine Prize Shortlist
Finalists for the 2023 Caine Prize for African Writing, including several works of genre interest, have been announced:
- “A Soul of Small Places”, Mame Bougouma Diene and Woppa Diallo (Africa Risen)
- “This Tangible Thing”, Yejide Kilanko (Relations)
- “Weaving”, Yvonne Kusiima (Isele 3/15/22)
- “Daughters, By Our Hands”, Ekemini Pius (Isele 4/30/22)
- “Peeling Time (Deluxe Edition)”, Tlotlo Tsamaase (Africa Risen)
The winner will be selected by a panel of judges and announced at an awards dinner to be held October 2, 2023 in London UK. The winner will receive a £10,000 prize.
