35th Lambda Awards Winners
The Lambda Literary Foundation has announced winners for the 35th Annual Lambda Literary Awards (the “Lammys”), celebrating “the best lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender books.”
Reluctant Immortals by Gwendolyn Kiste (Saga) won in the Bisexual Fiction category. Keeping It Unreal: Black Queer Fantasy and Superhero Comics by Darieck Scott (NYU Press) won in the LGBTQ+ Studies category. The Wicked and the Willing by Lianyu Tan (Shattered Scepter) won in the LGBTQ+ Speculative Fiction category. Several titles of genre interest were among the finalists in various categories.

The Lambda Literary Foundation also announced the winners of the 2023 Jim Duggins, PhD Outstanding Mid-Career Novelist Prize, including Ryka Aoki. The award honors novelists who have “built a strong reputation” and “show promise to continue publishing high quality work for years to come.” It includes a cash prize of $5,000.
