2022 Encore Award Shortlist

The High House by Jessie Greengrass (Swift; Scribner) and Light Perpetual by Francis Spufford (Faber & Faber; Scribner) are on the five-title shortlist for the 2022 Encore Award, given by the Royal Society of Literature (RSL) to the best second novel of the year.

The judges for 2022 are Sian Cain, Paul Muldoon, and Nikesh Shukla. The winner of the £10,000 will be announced May 24, 2022. Each of the four other finalists will receive £500.
