2022 PEN America Literary Awards Winners
The winners for the 2022 PEN America Literary Awards have been announced, including Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters (MCD) in the $10,000 PEN/Hemingway Award for Debut Novel.
Other finalists of genre interest were:
- The Trees, Percival Everett (Graywolf Press)
- Harrow, Joy Williams (Knopf)
- The Love Songs of W.E.B. Du Bois, Honorée Fanonne Jeffers (Harper)
- Orwell’s Roses, Rebecca Solnit (Viking)
PEN America “confers over 20 distinct awards, fellowships, grants and prizes each year, awarding nearly $350,000 to writers and translators.” Categories include poetry, essay, biography, and science writing.
