PRH pledges $100,000 to PEN America
Penguin Random House (PRH) has pledged $100,000 to PEN America for their 100th anniversary. PRH and PEN America have partnered together before with projects such as Book the Vote.
Suzanne Nossel, CEO of PEN America, says:
We are grateful and inspired that Penguin Random House is expanding its generous support for PEN America at this critical time. Rising authoritarianism around the world, coupled with flagging support for freedom of speech here in the United States underscore the urgency of our work to uphold open expression and defend those who stand for it. This vital support will allow us to double down in support of writers and the written word in the face of unprecedented pressures.

While you are here, please take a moment to support Locus with a one-time or recurring donation. We rely on reader donations to keep the magazine and site going, and would like to keep the site paywall free, but WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT to continue quality coverage of the science fiction and fantasy field.
