2022 MWA Awards
The Mystery Writers of America (MWA) announced several awards.
Laurie R. King has been named Grand Master, which “represents the pinnacle of achievement in mystery writing and was established to acknowledge important contributions to this genre, as well as for a body of work that is both significant and of consistent high quality.”
Reviewer Lesa Holstine won the 2022 Raven Award, which “recognizes outstanding achievement in the mystery field outside the realm of creative writing.”
Soho Press associate publisher (and author) Juliet Grames received the Ellery Queen Award, given for “outstanding writing teams and outstanding people in the mystery-publishing industry.”
The awards will be accepted at the 76th Edgar Awards Ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New York on April 28, 2022. For more information, see their announcement.
