Why is there so little hard science fiction being published? All I see now days is fantasy. Does fantasy really sell that much better than actual science fiction? Is fantasy easier to write than science fiction? I know we have the likes of Benford, Bear, Reynolds, and Baxter, but where are the new hard authors?
