2020 Washington State Book Awards Finalists
Finalists for the 2020 Washington State Book Awards, given by the Washington Center for the Book, have been announced, including titles of genre interest. Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton (Grand Central), The Cassandra by Sharma Shields (Henry Holt), and The Bird King by G. Willow Wilson (Grove) are among the six titles shortlisted in the Fiction category.
The awards “honor works of outstanding literary merit by Washington authors.” There were also finalists in seven other youth and adult categories. The judges for adult titles are Kerry Halls, Kalani Kapahua, Zola Mumford, Betsey Stahler, and Jenna Zarzycki. Winners will be announced on September 25, 2020.
