2020 Booker Prize Longlist
The 13-title longlist for the 2020 Booker Prize has been announced, including several titles and authors of possible genre interest:
- The New Wilderness, Diane Cook (OneWorld)
- The Mirror & The Light, Hilary Mantel (4th Estate)
- Love and Other Thought Experiments, Sophie Ward (Corsair)
- How Much of These Hills Is Gold, C Pam Zhang (Riverhead)
The £50,000 prize is “open to writers of any nationality, writing in English and published in the UK or Ireland.” This year’s judges are Margaret Busby (chair), Lee Child, Sameer Rahim, Lemn Sissay, and Emily Wilson.
The shortlist will be announced September 15, 2020. Shortlisted authors receive £2,500 and a “specially bound edition of their book.” Winners will be announced in November 2020.
