Dublin 2019 Worldcon Award Announcements
Dublin 2019, the 77th Worldcon, has announced a special category for Best Art Book to be included in the 2019 Hugo Awards and 1944 Retrospective Hugo Awards.
An eligible work for this special Hugo award is any art book in the field of science fiction, fantasy, or fandom, appearing for the first time during the previous calendar year or which has been substantially modified during the previous calendar year, and which is not eligible in Best Graphic Story.
The award is being considered by the Hugo Category Study as a potential permanent addition.
Dublin 2019 will also host the National Irish Science Fiction Film Festival (NISFF) and Golden Blaster awards ceremony. “Award categories include the Golden Blasters for Best Picture and Best Screenplay and the Silver Blaster Audience Award.”
