2018 Edge Hill Short Story Prize Longlist
The 15-title longlist for the 2018 Edge Hill Prize for Short Story has been announced, including several titles and authors of genre interest:
- Wild Gestures, Lucy Durneen (MidnightSun)
- Madame Zero, Sarah Hall (Faber & Faber)
- You Should Come With Me Now, M. John Harrison (Comma)
- All the Beloved Ghosts, Alison MacLeod (Bloomsbury)
- Come Let Us Sing Anyway, Leone Ross (Peepal Tree)
- Ornithology, Nicholas Royle (Confingo)
The £10,000 prize is given to “a single-authored collection of short stories” by writers born or residing in the UK or Ireland. Judges for 2018 are Ailsa Cox, Daisy Johnson, Paul McVeigh, and Alice O’Keefe. The shortlist will be announced sometime in June 2018, and winners on November 3, 2018 during a ceremony at Foyles bookshop in London.
