The awards are given by the Association of Science Fiction & Fantasy Artists (ASFA). Voting is open to members of ASFA until May 27, 2018. Winners will be announced at Worldcon 76 to be held August 16-20, 2018 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose CA.

As the author of RETROGRADE I’d like to commend Elizabeth for her diligence and accuracy in even the subtle details. You’ll notice the Sun is blue as it sits low on the horizon, while the distant hills are dull compared to the foreground. Her rendering is true to life in that this is precisely how such a scene would appear in the dust laden Martian atmosphere. It’s an amazing cover!
